Vintage Marcel Boucher Carnation Brooch, Flower of the Month, #8045 Marked.

This is a very special and hard to find Marcel Boucher 3D Carnation Flower of the Month collection from the 1960's. Made of Lucite/ celluloid with a clear crystal rhinestone center, gold plated with the stem and leaves, rollover working closure. The #8045 and Bouchard are clearly marked on the back, 8045 verifies the age and authenticity. I see no chips or cracks on the ruffled flower, small amount of discoloration on the plating. These are very hard to find these days; I only found three on the internet and priced higher than I have it listed for. Very highly collectable and sought after designer, most of his designs go for big money, do your research!

~ Marcel Boucher trained as a goldsmith at Cartier Paris before founding his New York jewelry house in 1937. He worked for and with numerous designers including Mazer Brothers. He is known for his intricate details, and his jewelry is highly collectable worldwide.
