Vintage M&S Marks and Spencer, 1940's Era Necklace and Earrings Set.

I just got this set from a lovely older gal that told me about the maker. It is from Marks and Spencer (M&S) that was founded in 1940's, from Providence Rhode Island, stayed in business for only 20 years until someone else took over and it was rebranded into a lot of different companies. This is a set including a necklace-brooch but the pin for the brooch is damaged and not there (and the price shows that). I thought about removing it and you can if you prefer, but it shows what it was when made. There is a loop to make it a necklace, and I added a gold-filled chain with a vintage closure to make up for that. It has beautiful Topaz colored crystal rhinestones along with clear ones also. Gold toned rhodium metal, cascading tassel bars, signed M&S 1/20 12K gold filled on all pieces. The earrings are screw backed and could be made into pierced very easy, 2 1/2 by 2" on the pendant, 1" on the earrings. Just a beautiful vintage set that is highly collectable because of its age and elegant craftsmanship.
