Vintage Ethnic Kuchi Rupees Coin Necklace.

To be honest with you I had no idea about this type of Kuchi coin necklace. I received this with some of the other handmade ethnic jewelry I have listed. Very interesting history about Rupees and how they adorned Afghani and Pakistani nomadic tribes. Made of German silver alloy, loop bails over black beads, 23" total length, hook closure. These were considered cultural elegance and these days still worn with pride with belly dancers. Some of the coins show wear, I have no idea how old they are. Great Ethnic history and a good gift for someone who appreciates the history of these coins.
