Vintage Casa Prieto Mexican Silver Bracelet: Coffee Bean Repousse, AV Juarez Mexico
$345.00
Purchase on EtsyI have owned this for over 40 years and had to think twice about selling it, but I am downsizing my personal stash. This one is hard for me (I know this is pricey, but you won't find it again). This piece is a very hard one to find, there are online but check the signage because it is different with other pieces. The coffee bean is especially meaningful symbol for the Mexican people and their culture. Repoussé designs are the most challenging form of silver smithing, and it would be only from the most experienced maestros. Most early Mexican Silver was made of high-grade silver and the resistance to tarnish, I only cleaned up the clasp for pictures and still has good patina. So, it is signed Mexico, Silver, Prieto, AV Juarez,4D she is 7 " long, 110grams weight, hinged and a hook bar closure. There are others on Etsy, but they are copies of this original design, do your homework! I know it's a little more expensive, but this piece will only go up in price so a good investment and nobody will be wearing this total original vintage piece!!!
~ Casa Prieto silver shop was a Mexican city active primarily from 1930' to 50's. Was known for making labor intensive handcrafted pieces that are rare and very collectable. These were made pre-eagle stamps were added. Do your research!!
